Following the success of previous SIYB training batches, SIYB-Afghanistan successfully conducted the third and fourth batches of the Generate Your Business Idea (GYB) and Start Your Business (SYB) training in Jalalabad City, Nangarhar. These sessions aimed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to start and manage their own businesses.
The third batch was conducted from March 23 to March 31, 2019, at East Star Hall, Jalalabad. The training was led by SIYB Master Trainer Mohammad Akbar Mahmoody, with Hamesh Faisal Walid as the assisting trainer.
✔ Practical Business Training – Focused on helping participants generate, evaluate, and refine business ideas.
✔ Inclusive Participation – A diverse group of men and women took part, promoting gender-balanced entrepreneurship.
✔ Certified SIYB Materials – Official SIYB manuals were distributed free of charge to participants.
This training played a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurial thinking among Afghan men and women, encouraging them to develop sustainable business plans that contribute to economic stability.
Shortly after the third batch, we conducted the fourth SIYB batch from March 12 to March 20, 2019, also at East Star Hall, Jalalabad. This batch was exclusively for men, with 25 participants completing a rigorous 64-hour training program.
The training was facilitated by SIYB Master Trainer Mohammad Akbar Mahmoody, with Safiullah Moqim as the assisting trainer.
✔ Comprehensive Learning – Conducted over 64 hours, covering both morning and afternoon sessions on weekdays.
✔ Targeted for Business Growth – Designed to train, mentor, and support potential entrepreneurs in developing their own ventures.

Through these two training batches, a total of 44 aspiring entrepreneurs were equipped with fundamental business skills to turn their ideas into reality. The program not only empowered individuals to pursue self-employment but also contributed to economic development and job creation in Afghanistan.
