From October 23 to October 27, 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Intercultural Joint Learning Journey at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Finance, Ludwigsburg. This intensive five-day program was packed with 12 hours of learning each day, covering:
✅ Integration policies & intercultural topics through participatory discussions
✅ Workshops on intercultural competence & racism, blending theory with real-world examples
✅ Team-building simulations with German students and refugees from different backgrounds
✅ Reflections on intercultural challenges in education and accommodation
✅ Guidance for refugees on administrative processes and educational opportunities
✅ Media analysis of how Germany is perceived internationally
During the seminar, I also had the chance to pitch and speak about Afghanistan—its working and business culture, the challenges, and opportunities. What was initially planned as a three-minute talk organically turned into an engaging two-and-a-half-hour discussion! It was a fantastic exchange of perspectives, bridging gaps in understanding different work environments and entrepreneurship models.
A truly insightful and enriching experience! Grateful to University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Finance, Ludwigsburg for organizing such an impactful program.
